Welcome to The Parent Advocacy Council!
The PAC is a powerful group of parents that come together to make significant change in their communities. We believe that a parents’ voice matters, and when equipped with helpful tools and supportive education, parents can strengthen their families. Because the family is the most important unit on the earth, our goal is to focus on parents and remind them that they are the most important force in their child’s life.
Each meeting is led by a parent that is on the council, and follows a system that has brought about great change and results in the community. Combining this with the community cafe model to discuss topics, and The Strengthening Families: Five Protective Factors as the basis for everything we do.
Our goal is to support these parents in their individual goals, to help them learn from one another, and to empower them to take this valuable information back to our homes, schools, and communities.
Some past and upcoming meeting topics include:
- Safe texting
- Teaching young women self-worth
