I was with Janae from the start when she decided to move forward to create Humans Driving Change. Her ideas were fresh and parent-friendly. We needed a voice for parenting groups and she found it for us. Janae taught us how to lead and connected us to the right people. I have met many wonderful connections to other groups because of her hard work. I am now heading up a group of parents to find mental health services for the children who keep falling through the cracks of our society because of the lack of insurances and provisions these families need. At one point, Cares Meadow was only a dream for our group and is now becoming a reality thanks to Janae.

I consider it a privilege to know Janae. She is a capable individual who is full of resourcefulness and ingenuity.

There are three specific reasons you should consider working with Janae. 1) She understands the complexity of large social issues. In my interactions with her, she has raised thoughtful questions and proposed meaningful solutions to complex problems. 2) Her demeanor is positive for anyone that interacts with her. I have seen her handle difficult circumstances while maintaining a positive environment with all involved. 3) She is supportive while having an opinion. She has an opinion and she will express it, yet she will also support others in key decisions. She is humble enough to seek consensus where possible and strong enough to stand up when a direction is problematic.

I have known and worked with Janae Moss for six years. In her leadership, she consistently demonstrates that she truly believes in partnership and the value of being inclusive to work through and find workable solutions. She possesses the rare ability to cut through complex issues to the heart of a matter. When I think of my experience with Janae, I am reminded of the quote by author Brene Brown -"Daring leaders who live into their values are never silent about hard things."

Janae Moss lives her values every single day. Her actions are motivated by the great value that she places on the well-being of children and families - both her own and in communities everywhere. She exhibits a rare understanding of how true joy is a mixture of hard work, not taking oneself too seriously, and real gratitude for each of life's experiences.
